Fiber arts, and especially the craft of knitting is experiencing a tremendous resurgence of interest in the past several years. This is evidenced by the explosion of knitting-related internet sites, knitting blogs, podcasts, Ravelry, online yarn stores, local yarn shops, indie dyers, and sheep and wool festivals. There’s so much information available, so why do we need another knitting website and podcast? And why Knit Together?

Knit Together is different. Knit Together takes its name from Colossians 2:2-3 which begins with the words;

…that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ.

Knit Together is an opportunity to share both the love of Christ and our love of knitting with fiber enthusiasts everywhere, and to be an encouragement to those around us.

The Knit Together Podcast will be recorded once a month, so look for a new episode toward the end of each month. We’ll keep you updated on our current knitting projects and plans, as well as discuss upcoming events in the knitting and Christian communities. We promise to keep it clean and safe for younger knitters, and we pray that we’ll be able to be a blessing to each of you. To God be the glory!

Find us on Ravelry in the Knit Together group or visit Kate on her blog.
