I have Sara Groves on my Google Blog Alert and came across your blog when you mentioned her performance for Feb. 8th.  at Central Assembly.  We get to see Sara Feb 5th and 6th here in Chicago at Moody Bible's founders Week.  My wife, Mary (Lipscomb) is from Springfield, as is Sara.  Hope you enjoy her as much as we do.  ...john

I'm just loving your show!  It's great to have a knitting podcast where I can hear great Christian music, the Pirates Who Don't Do Anything song and it's safe to play at work.  Good to hear about the local events as well.  Sarah Groves is from my state, I used to work with her husband back when she was a school teacher.  Small world!

Keep up the great podcasts, I'll be checking for your feed often.

So glad you are enjoying us! That's so cool about Sara Groves! We actually have one of her songs on Dance Praise Remix and it's one of our favorites!

Nice work on Episode 2.  I especially like the way you worked in Psalm 139.  That is one of my favorite Psalms.

Thanks so much Tabitha! We love that you encourage us in return! :)

Psalm 139 is one of my favorites, too!

Oh I wanted to mention that the volumes were much better matched on this podcast.  Great work on that little issue.

After listening to the podcast, I started checking local theatre listings to see where Pirated who Don't do Anything is playing. There is nowhere within a hours drive from here that is showing it. boohoo. I was really planning to see it in the theatre too. I really like Veggie Tales and like to support anyone who makes a G rated movie these days. Guess I will have to wait for the video on that one.

Thanks also for telling me the correct way to pronounce clapotis ( I have been thinking clap-pot-us - heehee).

I always thought it was "cla-pot-us," too.  Our friend Brianne straightened me out very quickly on that!

Thank you so much for a wonderful podcast. It is so nice to know that I can listen to it with my kids around without worrying about the language or content.

I like www.knittingpatterncentral.com which has a ton of knitting patterns. Maybe you mentioned it and I missed hearing you :)

Looking forward to the next podcast!

I enjoyed your second podcast (I missed the first one).  I've even recommended it to a friend.  It's been several years, but I used to drive down through Springfield from Lawrence, KS in order to visit my sweetie (now my husband) when he was working in Rogers, Arkansas!

I really enjoy your podcast! It's fun to hear news from Springfield, my husband went to college at Central Bible College. Also, Lincoln Brewster is the Worship leader at a church in Roseville, CA (where I live) so it's always fun to hear what he is doing. I work for K-LOVE Radio (Christian radio network) and he's been there several times to visit and minister to us. Another neat little connection is Sara Groves was the artist who performed at my very first company Christmas party. :) Anyway, really love this podcast and look forward to the next one. :)

I just stumbled upon your blog, and have shown it to my wife, who is an avid knitter! She loves it! It's a shame there is no knitting club where we live, but my wife was really excited when I showed her your site. She's currently looking at making tiny socks for our one-year-old. There's no stopping her!

Psalm 139 is a favorite of mine as well.
These comments keep coming back to me as additional comments are added and I just have to share this with you.  It's not about knitting as knitting goes but it is about knitting our hearts together through Christ.  My wife Mary (Lipscomb) put music to Psalm 139 almost 40 years ago and sang it in a Springfield (Mo.) coffeehouse.  She also sang it in the federal prison in Springfield as well where she was a christian volunteer, alongside other volunteers such as Mom Carter (Sara Groves great-grandmother) and Lloyd and Nita (Sara's grandparents) Sara herself was brought into the prison during a Christmas service when she was 3 months old.  It was Mom Carter  who told me 36 years ago that God had a plan for my life and Mary who told me that God could change my life.  We just celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary.  God knits in ways we could never imagine.
Of course Christians can have a good time!  I will have to steer your podcast to my knitting wife!
Thank you for Episode 2! I agree with John Thomson - God knits in ways we could never imagine. I have had moments in my life that are real testimony of this. It is great to have someone like God you can rely on in hard moments. It gives hope that whatever happens to you, it has its own meaning for good or for bad.
I just recently learned how to knit and I love it! such a relaxing task to just sit and make a beautiful creation
How interesting and quaint.  I have every intention of learning to knit, just don't know how to begin or where to go.  My sister and daughter-in-law knit, maybe they can help me.
When you hear Sara sing it feels like you have been allowed to sit in on her prayer time. She talks to God and puts it to music in a way that no one else does. Her style is unique and her words are truth.
My wife will love the fact that I found your site, she loves to knit, I'm more into chocolate. We are Christians as well, in fact, I have Psalm 144:15 at the beginning of our site. We make wedding favors and add love into each favor. Come visit us sometime at www.chocolatedreamsandwishes.com
Such an encouraging and enjoyable blog. Keep up the good work. We need a lot more people that want to add value to others, thanks again.
I just wanna say God Bless, I agree with Antiques and that Psalm 139 is my favorite as well. I just wanna say you really have a great website here and I really love that you are a proud Christian. God bless.
My mom use to knit ( she passed away a few years back ) and watching someone knit kinda gives me a sense of nostalgia and longing. She use to make shirts , shawls and even pen-holders. More power to you guys and I hope you'll keep doing this most noble hobby.
hello everyone, i would like to thank you for Episode 2! . i totally agree with Miranda that God knits in ways we could never imagine. I also have had moments in my life that proof this statement. so it is natural that we rely on GOD hard moments. thanks.
I know that this post is not very recent but I want to leave a comment anyway for this nice list of resources many of them that I did not know. I also want to thank you for an idea of things for kids to do on my blog. Knitting is an activity I have enjoyed since I was a kid and that now I teach to my grand-daughter. I will be back to peruse your previous posts some more.
This was a very powerful episode. While listening, I had many memories pop into my mind of times when God has knit things together in my life, even though I did not realize them at the time. Thanks!
My grandma just teached me how to knit and I do it every time I have a chance and I love it, it's so much fun!
